NEW ACTUARIAL TABLES FOR SWISS PENSION FUNDS

Abstract

The technical bases VZ 2005 will be explained. They are derived from the experience of public pension funds, but they are used more generally in Switzerland. The difference between cross-sectional and generation life tables will be documented numerically, and the increase of life expectancy and its implication for the minimum conversion rates will be examined. Moreover, the Swiss old age, disability, widow's and orphan's pension system will be briefly explained.
